Batam Manufacturing Plant Celebrates 10 Million Man-Hours Without LTI
As KOP Surface Products’ employees gathered for an all-hands meeting on 18th April, it was also an opportunity to celebrate 10 million man-hours without a single lost-time injury (LTI). What this means is that our Batam manufacturing plant, which counts about 250 people in its ranks, has gone more than 12 years without sustaining an LTI.
Last month, KOP Surface Products sponsored 21 of its employees to take part in the 2017 Run for Hope, an annual event in support of cancer research in Singapore. The run attracted thousands of participants and took place on February 19th. Over half the KOP Surface Products runners, 12 in total, participated in the 3.5 km run, while nine signed up for the longer 10 km course.

Oil and gas equipment supplier KOP Surface Products has received a Performance Award from industry giant Chevron. The annual award, which was received by KOP Surface Products’ in 2015, but was awarded for work in 2014, recognizes the high performance of equipment and services that were delivered to Chevron’s Thai operations over the course of that year. This is the fifth time KOP Surface Products has received the honour.

KOP Surface Products Appoints New Regional Manager to Strengthen MENA Capacity
KOP Surface Products has appointed Shaun Bradley to lead its operations in the MENA region. In his new role as regional manager of the Middle East and North Africa, Shaun will be responsible for the company’s regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi, from where it oversees all sales and support activities in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Libya, Algeria and Tunisia.
KOP Surface Products has expanded two of its key storage and service locations in Thailand to ensure it continues to meet its customer commitments following a five-year deal with multinational energy corporation, Chevron. As part of the contract KOP Surface Products will deliver operational support to Chevron’s on- and off-shore activities in Thailand. The expansion of its Thailand facilities will help KOP Surface Products support Chevron while providing sufficient additional capacity to service new contracts in the country as they arise.
In a move to strengthen its presence in the Middle East, KOP Surface Products has opened two new bases in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Patrick Annand joins the company as the new base manager for the Qatar facility, while Mufeed A Al Ibrahim is named as the new base supervisor for the Saudi Arabia location.
